What is a Virtual Notary Public
A virtual notary public is an official witness who is permitted to help administer oaths, solemn affirmations, and declarations that are used on official documents. Effective March 2020, in response to the COVID pandemic, the Law Society of Ontario has permitted virtual notarizations for many documents. The following documents CANNOT be completed by our virtual notaries: certified true copies; separation agreements; wills; promissory notes, and any document that appears to be an abuse of process.
